Summer might be over. But that doesn’t mean vacation season is over! In fact, more and  more people are following the growing trend of traveling after summer.

And the reason is pretty simple: saving money. It’s a well-known fact that people can travel and vacation for less money during the fall. Many businesses offer lower rates after the peak season, in an effort to supplement the winter months.

Gasoline is also cheaper during the fall. And even though it might be just a few cents on the dollar, it can definitely add-up in the long run – especially if you plan on driving across the country to reach your destination.

Fall is also more comfortable with a mild temperature. Depending up the climate of your vacation spot, it might be a wise choice to hold off until after August or mid-September.

In our region of the Ozarks (Branson, Missouri) the fall is by-far the most beautiful time of the year. Many of the tress that populate our rolling hills begin to turn vibrant shades of red, gold, and yellow. It’s an amazing thing to witness!

If you are thinking about traveling this fall, we say “Go for it”.
